Today was the second Cygnets Fly Tying Class of 2012. The Cygnets were shown how to tie a "Cats Whisker" by their fly tying instructor Jimmy Miller.

Jimmy Miller also showed the Cygnets another pattern which was a buzzer tied without thread.

There were 5 Cygnets at the fly tying class today with assistance from Jimmy Miller and Dave Armour. They all did really well tying their flies.

The next Cygnet Fly Tying session is on Sunday 12th February 2012 starting at 10am.

Sunday 15th January 2012

Today was the 1st Cygnets Fly Tying Class for 2012. It was an extra special day as Jimmy Miller was there after being in hospital under going major surgery a few weeks ago.  It was great to see Jimmy and the Cygnets were all over the moon to see Jimmy. The Cygnets all have a soft spot for their fly tying Instructor.

There were 4 cygnets who attended the class today. Abbi, Louise, Robert and Scott were shown how to tie the "Muesli May Fly" by Jimmy Miller this fly is a great Irish pattern.

After fly tying some of the Cygnets went fishing on the Mill and Meadow ponds with some of them catching some lovely hard fighting trout.

The next Fly Tying Class will be on Sunday 29th January 2012 starting at 10am.

1st Fly Tying Meet 2012

Sunday 15th January 2012 will be the first Fly Tying class for 2012. Normal Time for starting 10am. Hope all the Cygnets who want to learn the art of Fly Tying can manage along this Sunday.
