The AGM will be followed by the presentation of prizes for the Club and B Championships.    A light lunch will be provided after prize giving.

Sunday 9 November 2014

Sunday 9th November 2014.

Today was the final fishing session of the 2014 season for the Cygnets. The Cygnets were joined today by their Honorary President, Paul Young. The Cygnets always really enjoy Paul's visits to see them.

Today was cold but with bright spells. There were a lot of fish showing around the Millpond. The Cygnets were as eager as ever to get fishing. As soon as they had their platforms pulled from the hat, they were on the water. It was not long before Robert Fyfe took the first fish of the session followed quickly by the second by Cameron Smith.

There were 5 Cygnets at the session today. The fishing was tremendous today with some excellent sport for the Cygnets.

The Successful Cygnets today were:-

Robert Fyfe         2 fish retained & 6 fish returned
Eddie McKillop  2 fish retained & 5 fish returned
Cameron Smith   2 fish retained & 2 fish returned

The next Cygnets Sunday, 23rd November 2014 will be the Annual General Meeting, Prize Giving and Election of Office Bearers for the 2015 season - anyone willing/nominations to take on the role of an office bearer for 2015 are welcomed.

Further details for A.G.M. will follow in due course.

Annual General Meeting

Dear Cygnet

The final fishing session of this season will be held next Sunday, 9th November, at the usual time of 9.30am to 1pm.   Fishing will take place on the Millpond as normal.

The AGM and Prize-Giving will be held on Sunday 23rd November (not 16th as previously stated).   If the weather is suitable there may be some fun fishing activities before the AGM, but we will need to wait and see what the weather is like on the day.   Please be at the Fishery at 10.30am, either for some fun followed by the meeting or, if the weather is bad, just the meeting and prize giving.

ALL Cygnets and parents/guardians are invited to attend the meeting.   There are some important matters regarding the future of the Club to discuss, as well as the election of the new Office Bearers and the presentations of prizes for the Club Championships.

If you are not able to attend the AGM, but intend to join the Club again next year, please let me know as it would be very useful to know how many members there might be next year.
